Whew! It hit 92 degrees today. Bicycling to work was tough. With the high temps pushing me toward my heat load limit and a seriously stuff head wind forcing me to ride one gear lower,the ride sapped a goodly chunk of my endurance. I returned around 6PM, again into a head wind (it shifted 180 degrees by afternoon), showered, fed the cats, hugged them goodbye and caught a plane to Santa Cruz where the temps are much more civilized: 74F
My list of maintenance chores is lengthy. I have to fix the phone line, fix the front door latch, unclog a drain, check the exhaust system of the van (it's gotten mighty throaty), check for return of wood rats in the pump house...
