That bicycle spill I took last week was a doozy. Though my skin scrapes have healed nicely, I still have a sore pelvis. The sciatic involvement is diminishing (thank the stars), but it looks like I have one serious bone bruise. Later on it's off for x-rays with hopes this trauma is only a bruise and not a fracture.
I'm down in Santa Cruz this week working on house projects there. The outdoor hot water shower line is clogged; it looks like it is suffering from calcium deposits. Thankfully the problem is not in the interior lines. I have to cut the PVC to add a back flush tee (should have done that when I first ran that line).
The purple irises are in full bloom. Bees are everywhere collecting nectar from the lavenders and rosemary bushes. They are quite gentle beings, moving aside as I water the plants.
I had a wonderful time at Tuesday night dinner at Rowan and Russell's house. I do miss my friends company. Chris and I were going on about the finer point of archery. He's convincing me to go with him on a target shoot, and I think I'll take him up on it. Archery is one of those "I wish I did" skills, and I can see I'm about to venture on that path. Ah well, what's a 1/256th elf to do?
Oh drats!!! I'm so sorry I missed you!!!!!
You and Chris doing archery sounds like a lot of fun! Good luck. Take pictures!!! I bet your arms will be sore by the end. I tried it a few times, and it was a serious work out!
Sorry you are still recovering from the fall. Take care of yourself
